I’m having problems connecting
I’ve had this error before but I can’t remember what the fix wa
I’ve just reset up mpd on my new server, but another mod client app works ok
not sure what I could be getting wrong. app permissions are given
any advice?
If both WiFi and cellular networks are active, try to temporarily disable the cellular network (Mobile Data) and see if it will connect when on WiFi only.
If that’s the case, then try to uncheck Settings → Network → “Choose matching network” or change the “Allowed networks” and see if it will connect when mobile data is on again.

this is only with WiFi enabled
this is what it was in the settings;
disabling choose matching network resolves the problem
though that doesn’t seem to make sense to me
I also have mpd exposed to the internet from my home server plus DNS set up, but the same thing happened before when trying to use that as the server address instead
but problem resolved (though I’m not sure why it didn’t just pick WiFi before given it’s earlier in the list, and it was active, and there was a valid route)
